33rd Annual Yampa River Festival – (May 25-28, 2012) – Organized by Friends of the Yampa, this festival celebrates the Yampa River and the recreational opportunities it provides.  There are kayak races, rodeos and slaloms, raft racing, tube rodeo, river board demonstrations and the Crazy River Dog competition.  All funds benefit river clean ups and help with regional river planning and policy making for the protection of the Yampa River.  www.friendsoftheyampa.com

Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup – (June 14-17, 2012) – For owners, car enthusiasts, or those just interested in exploring around town, the Mustang Roundup is the weekend for you to stop through Steamboat.  With more than 500 Mustangs in town, the events are all largely attended.  With two main events the “shine and show” and a timed circuit, you are not only able to see the cars polished and lined up, but also in action!

Fourth of July Celebration – (June 30-July 4, 2012) – For over 100 years, Steamboat has celebrated Independence Day with a rodeo.  The Cowboy Roundup Days celebrate the western heritage native to the Yampa Valley with events for the entire family.  The events kick off with a community all-you-can-eat breakfast, children’s activities, concerts, the annual downtown parade and the amazing evening fireworks.

32nd Annual Hot Air Balloon Rodeo & 38th Annual Art in the Park – (July 7-8, 2012) – Join us for one of the most anticipated and colorful weekends of the summer!  The day begins with a spectacular early-morning launch of over 40 hot air balloons over Bald Eagle Lake.  Truly a spectacular event as the hot air balloons rise softly from the mist of the lake and drift over the Yampa Valley.  Then continue your way to West Lincoln Park for Steamboat’s biggest arts and crafts festival, which includes live music and activities for the kids.  This is sure to be a fun, action-packed weekend for the entire family.

Steamboat Wine Festival – (August 2-5, 2012) – This festival is a great event for wine enthusiasts and amateurs alike.  With events starting as early as 7:30 A.M. and continuing through 11:00 P.M., you can enjoy wine throughout the day in many different settings.  The events take place across town as you begin with fly-fishing on the Yampa River in the morning, indulge in a tasting on the mountain as you watch the sun set over the valley, and then finish off your evening touring the various restaurants downtown.  Enjoy this festival with your family and friends.

4th All Arts Festival – (August 16-19, 2012) – The Steamboat All Arts Festival is the newest and most collaborative event in Steamboat Springs, CO.  This fabulous 4-day event highlights the amazing arts and culture in the Yampa Valley while featuring nationally-renowned artists, including dance, vocal, musical, visual, literary and culinary arts.

Labor Day Weekend & 8th Annual Wild West Air Fest – (September 1-2, 2012) – Labor Day Weekend is an exciting time in Steamboat with entertainment in the air, on the mountain and all over town!  An event for the whole family, the Wild West Air Fest features a vintage and warbird static aircraft display, classic cars, radio controlled airplane shows, Wings Over the Rockies KidSpace and much more!  Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for youth ages 12-6, and FREE for 5 and under.

Steamboat Springs OktoberWest – (September 21-23, 2012) – Celebrate the fall season with music, food, beer, games and activities for kids and adults.  The event will kickoff Friday night with the Pedaling Posse Parade in downtown Steamboat.  Embrace the true OktoberWest spirit with events such as the lamb cook-off, Cow PIE Challenge and Bucking Bull Battle while rockin’ out during the free concert with a refreshing Rocky Mountain Colorado beer.  Admission to the event is FREE.
