Went for a short run on the Yampa River Core Trail after work today. The day was a bit overcast, but this did not deter the many people I saw out walking, running or even fly-fishing along the Core Trail. As I jogged along I noticed these fishermen, each separated by the bends in the river, quietly enjoying their afternoon. A very cool feeling I’m sure, with each fishermen having the river seemingly to himself. I couldn’t help but think how great it is to see people outside, enjoying different aspects of Steamboat after a day at work. Everyone has their own ways to unwind after a day at the office, getting out and enjoying what the Yampa Valley has to offer.
