Christmas Tree Hunting

by Sage Local on December 21, 2009

I finally made it out this weekend with some friends in search of that perfect Christmas Tree. We decided to search on top of Buff Pass toward Soda Mtn. We quickly learned that snowshoes probably would have been quite helpful as we sunk into some snowbanks up to our hips. The tree that i eventually picked was, of course, down in a valley. Because of work schedules, it was nearing dark as we finally cut down the tree and started hauling it back toward the car. Despite our poor timing and ill-prepared supplies, it was a great time and we will know what to expect for next years trip. The Griswolds made it look so easy! With the tree fully decorated and in the house, Christmas truly feels just around the corner.
