Steamboat Springs offers so many hiking trails in surrounding areas. If you’re planning a trip to Steamboat, then I recommend you to try out some of Steamboat’s best hiking trails. The photo above is hiking near the Flattops, but there are so many more that offer stunning picturesque landscapes and views that go beyond. The area surrounding Steamboat is absolutely packed with fantastic hiking adventures.
Right out of our back door are Mt. Werner and Storm Peak, which are covered with trails. Adjacent to town is the ever-popular Fish Creek Falls hike, which I consider one of the top waterfalls in Colorado along with a longer scenic hike to Long Lake from here. Another is Rabbit Ears Peak the wildflowers are gorgeous. Further outside town is the Mad Creek Trailhead, which serves as a portal into the endlessly explorable Mt. Zirkel Wilderness.
Steamboat comes to life in the spring and summer seasons, with green trails promising invigorating hikes everywhere you look. Whatever the contours of your sense of adventure, Steamboat Springs is a place brimming with possibility, one that knows no lethargy.
