Johnny Spillane, helping his team place Nordic combined in the collective American heart during last winter’s Vancouver Olympics, Johnny Spillane skied and jumped his way to three silver medals. He’s a mild-mannered hometown boy who grew up ski jumping at Howelsen Hill, fishing the Yampa and hunting Steamboat’s surrounding wilderness areas and he’s home training again this summer and fall.
