The Forecasts were correct and many people around Steamboat were calling in for what could be the last big powder morning of the year. We saw 6″ fall on Monday and with the big forecast for Monday night, we decided to join in, took Tuesday morning off and prepared ourselves for the snowfall. No one was left disappointed. Waking to 10″ additional inches of fresh snow, the gondola line was a bit busy as everyone eagerly waited to head up to the top of the mountain. The snow was light and fluffy – classic Champagne Powder – and it felt as though, for a moment, we were back in the middle of January. We put a short video together of some of our turns this morning.
