Steamboat Springs is soon to be crowded by music fans for the next few weeks. With two music festivals coming into town, there is sure to be a show or two stopping by Steamboat in the next few days you might be interested in. The first, ‘MusicFest’ is a concert series focused toward out-of-town travelers. The tickets are sold in ‘ski travel packages, [which] include(s) lodging, lift tickets and concert access. Those tickets sold out in record time for this year’s MusicFest, festival organizer John Dickson, of Dickson Productions.’ In its 25th year, this festival has been successful throughout its tenure and looks to have another strong showing this year with many of the featured bands coming from Austin, Texas.
Ski Jam follows, beginning next week on January 14th, and is set-up as a concert series focused on both bringing in a large outside crowd and giving locals a few concerts to enjoy. This series features a few big name bands, with ‘The Wailers’ and ‘Keller Williams’ headlining events. With both concerts set to go off, Steamboat is sure to be excited and in great spirits after the holiday season.
