Steamboat Springs Off the Beaten Path Bookstore is presenting an Artist’s Reception and Book Signing for Susan Gill Jackson on Friday, December 3rd, 2010 from 5:00pm till 8:00pm. They will be serving light pastries and 1/2 price wine all night. Off the Beaten Path is located on 68 9th Street in downtown Steamboat Springs. The First Friday Artwalk is also tomorrow and is a free event that is open to everyone, which starts at 5:00pm till 8:00pm. Susan will also be presenting original drawings from two books about the Crawford family of Steamboat Springs, written by Lulie Crawford. “The Shining Mountains” and “The Cabin at Medicine Springs” books will be available for purchase and artist’s signing. Susan Jackson says, “The Herd in the Alley” series was inspired by one early, frigid, glittery morning. She happened to be in the alley between 10th and 11th streets, behind The Artist’s Gallery of Steamboat when the reflections of light and color on the recent snowfall was too much for her to resist.”
