Mid-afternoon yesterday, word came to take a look outside.  With a quick glance, and then a long stare, I saw little, visibility was limited. Nickel-sized flakes were blowing down hard. Quite exciting! Continuing on and off through the night I was hoping for the best. Waking up this morning and peaking my head out the window the roofs were covered in snow. Much to my dismay, with a quick look at the ground, very little had stuck. A mixed blessing. It is still early in the fall and there is too much biking, running, and hiking to do before the winter blows in for good. It is a great time to embrace the benefits of every season.
