“Steamboat’s Hot Air Balloon Rodeo”

Steamboat Springs always puts on an outstanding annual Hot Air Balloon event every year in the summertime. This year is the 30th Annual Hot Air Balloon Rodeo along with the 36th Annual Art in the Park, which takes place July 10th-11th. This weekend is a very colorful and fun event filled with excitement for the entire family. You and your family are able to watch over 40 hot air balloons rise softly from the mist of the morning sunrise and drift over the beautiful Yampa Valley. Steamboat then, puts on one of the biggest arts and crafts festivals in West Lincoln Park.

On Saturday, the launch field is at Bald Eagle Lake where you are invited to join and take some great pictures. The parking there is not open to the public, but there is free transportation at the Meadows Parking lot. Take a walk, bike ride or shuttle out there to watch the beautiful morning event on Saturday, July 10th starting at 6:00am.  Thanks to Ed and June MacArthur from their generosity to donate the use of their lake.  Please respect their gesture to Steamboat by keeping it clean.
