The next week looks like it could be a big one. “The two storm systems expected to hit Steamboat Springs this weekend could blanket Mount Werner with more than a foot of snow by Tuesday afternoon.” While only a few runs are currently opening on the mountain, the conditions are improving each day. The snow-making at the resort has been great this year, keeping all the runs that are open in awesome shape. While officially “Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp. spokeswoman Loryn Kasten said the ski area will wait until after the storms have passed to make any decisions about opening additional terrain,” rumor is the next few chairs to open up will be 4-Points and Storm Peak, leading up to Buddy’s Run. I saw Thunderhead running as well today, so we’ll just have to wait and see what comes next!
